Participants in the study consumed the daily 40 grams of walnuts increased the blood pressure at less than the participants who gave up the nuts. A study at Purdue University have also shown that walnuts reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. They also increase the magnesium, folate, vitamin E, and copper levels and reduce blood lipid concentration.
